Major metal element characteristics of Huaibei coalfield and its influence on the hydrocarbon generation

The major elements in coal is an important component of coal, and they are the main factors that influence the physical and chemical properties and processing and utilization of coal. Common metal elements of 16 samples in Huaibei coalfield were test. The content characteristics and the occurrence situation were analyzed. On the basis, the thermal simulation experiments on the coal which were dislodged element Fe and and the coal which were in original situation, were carried out. The experimental results show that iron has great effect on the generation of hydrocarbon, and the samples which dislodged Fe generate little hydrocarbon.
