Development and application on ZDY12000LD high-power directional drilling equipment

The drilling construction demand of the long working face gas drainage borehole and large diameter borehole in roof and floor cannot be fully met for conventional directional drilling equipment and technology. The necessity of research and development about high-power directional drilling equipment and matched drilling technology are analyzed. The technical thought of complete set of the drilling equipment which includes drill carriage, pump truck and compound directional drilling technology is proposed. The key technical problems are solved which include the overall layout and key parts design, compound directional drilling with multi-function logic hydraulic system and large flow pump truck design. The creative achievements are the directional drilling hole which diameter and depth separately are 120 mm and 1 881 m in coal seam, and the directional drilling hole which diameter and depth separately are 153 mm and 1 026 m in roof strata in actual product application of the coal mine. The application prospect of using ZDY12000LD high-power directional drilling equipment to drill large diameter long directional drilling on the roof instead of high drainage roadway and form a complete set of wireless MWD technology are discussed in this paper.
