A rapid method of automatically generating three-dimensional ground surface model

  • Taking the topographic map of a panel of a mine in northern Shaanxi as example, the paper used MapGIS and Surfer to extract pixels of topographic elevation control points, convert these pixels into coordinates X, Y and Z of surface elevation control points through MapGIS, generate three dimensional ground model through Surfer.This method can generate rapidly three dimensional ground surface model without vectorization of topographic contour lines and elevation attributes, meeting the actual demand in production of mines.
