  • In order to predict the washout zones of paleochannel in coal seams at the west edge in Qinshui basin, a seismic forward modeling was made. By using seismic attribute analysis technology, combined with wave impedance inversion method and 3D visualization technology, we studied the characteristics of the washout zones of paleochannel in coal seams. The verification of the later drilling show that using seismic data to predict the washout zone of paleochannel is a viable method.
