Late Triassic coal-forming environment and coal-accumulating law in Zichang-Yanchuan mining area

In order to improve the resource utilization efficiency and carry on comprehensive development,the resource potential of coal in Zichang-Yanchuan mining area is necessary to be evaluated properly. Based on theories of sedimentary,coal geology and tectonic geology and current coal development situation survey results,the distribution pattern of coal-bearing formation of Late Triassic coal forming environment was studied using coal geologic exploration methods and well logging. It is concluded that the coal formed in T₃y⁵ was deposited in braided river delta,lakeshore and shallow lake. The conditions of paleo-structure and paleo-climate controlled the formation of coal.
