Paleotemperature recovery of rare gases in groundwater plays an important role in studying paleoclimate and recharge environment of groundwater. Firstly, the research advance of the basic principle, theoretical research and application of the method were discussed. Then, the problems of the method were analyzed. Finally, the development and prospect of this method were discussed.
