  • In order to overcome the multi-solution of microseismic source location using time-dependent objective function, for three-component microseismic data, we established a vector objective function combining travel time and azimuths. Applying the objective function to Geiger's method for location, an improved Geiger's method for location is introduced. Synthetic data verifies that the method is sensitive to azimuths and is more accurate.
