Application of vibrator in the region with complex seismic excitation conditions

The seismic geological conditions of shallow strata and surface are complex in Pingshanhu mining area, Zhangye, Gansu, the vibrator was used to carry out excitation, quantitative analysis was conducted for test data from energy, SNR and frequency to determine the operation parameters (vibration times, and scan length, scan frequency, source output) suitable to the area, aiming at the characteristics of seismic data of the vibrator, focusing on weakening interference before first arrivals, improvement of signal-to-noise ratio was made, making it easier to identify first arrivals of the single shot. At the same time deconvolution was adopted to widen the frequency band and enhance the resolution of seismic profiles, achieving good geological effect.
