Abstract
A sub-high-temperature and sub-high-pressure testing apparatus has been developed, which can be used to study the issue if there is a chemical structure change and gas generation during coal deformation process. Some key technical issues have been further analyzed, such as sealing process, gas observation and collection techniques. The apparatus mainly consists of loading system, sealing system, controlling and heating system and gas observation and collection system. The maximum axial pressure is 100 MPa and the heating temperature can reach as high as 200. The dimensions of tested cylinder samples are℃ Φ50 mm×100 mm. There are some advantages of the testing apparatus:(1) It is air-tight and the loading time can reach as long as 360 h. (2) It operates easily and costs less, moreover, its structure is simple and reliability is high. The coal deformation experiments have been carried out using this apparatus under axial pressure of 10~50 MPa and the heating temperature of 100℃ and 150. And℃ the characteristics of the generation of gas have been obtained. It is shown that the testing apparatus can provide a effective and practical method for coal deformation experiments.
