Abstract
It is more common in arsenic poisoning by coal burning in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuang. It is necessary to study occurrence modes of arsenic in coal content, distribution and mode of occurrence of arsenic have been studied in samples collected at No.4 and No.6 coal seams in Donglin Mine, Chongqin. The results shows that the average content of As, S and ash of No.4 coal seam is higher than that of No.6 seam. In addition, the average As concentration in Donglin raw coal is 1.68µg/g and varies from 0.20µg/g to 7.87µg/g, obviously lower than that of coal in Chongqing and other coalfields. There is not any sign of As enrichment in Donglin mine. Statistical results show that As in coal is obviously thiophilic and exist mainly in syngenetic pyrite, less in silicate mineral phase.
