Connotation of tectonic setting in coal area and its type division

  • To carry out the type division of the tectonic setting in coal area is an effective way to improve coal mining subsidence prediction accuracy. The geological influence factors of coal mining subsidence are summarized as four factors:structural medium, fractures, structural shape and tectonic stress. The connotation of tectonic setting is studied, and classification index of tectonic setting in coal area have been defined on this basis. Tectonic setting in coal area highlights the geological structure background of mining subsidence disaster, which is an important part of geological environment and reflected the geologic process of internal force more clearly. Based on the difference of structural medium, tectonic setting in coal area is divided into shadow medium type and deeply buried one. Based on the difference of fractures, tectonic setting in coal area is divided into continuous type, quasi-continuous type and discontinuous one. Based on the difference of structural shape, tectonic setting in coal area is divided into horizontal type, declining type and fold type. Based on the property of tectonic stress, tectonic setting in coal area is divided into self-weight stress type, compression tectonic stress type and tension tectonic stress type. Tectonic setting in coal area is divided by taking Tongchuan mining area as an example.
