Tectonic characteristics and genetic evolution of Tangshan mine in Kailuan mining area

  • Located in the northern west wing of Kaiping syncline, Tangshan mine belongs to the south coal structural belt of Yanshan. In Tangshan mine field the main faults FI,FII,FIII,FIV and FV were developed from north to south, and the geological structure is complex. It also controls the mine tectonic framework. Based on the structure rule, combined with balanced section technique, the paper mainly discusses the current tectonic characteristics and tectonic evolution stage of Tangshan mine on the basis of the drilling and mine geological data. The research findings show:(1) The main structure of Tangshan mine has been affected by the NW-SE extrusion stress of Yanshanian, and the power source has been the compression of Kula Pacific plate and Eurasia. During Kula Himalayan period, because of the Pacific plate submerged beneath the Eurasia, in Tangshan mine effected by the NW-SE tensile stress, a series of small faults were formed and led to FI thrust tectonic inversion phenomenon turned into a normal fault. (2) This paper restores the tectonic evolution process of Tangshan mine by balanced section technique and acquires 27.3% shortening rate of Tangshan mine strata
