Application of PHC pipe pile in collapsible loess

  • In light of an engineering example, through the detailed theoretical calculations and experimental study of the high-strength prestressed concrete pipe pile in collapsible loess area, for the single pile, the ultimate bearing capacity calculated by code method is conservative after considering the effect of soil plug. In addition, according to the static load test results of single pile, it is legitimately verified that when the Q-S curve is slow variant, the vertical bearing capacity standard value of single pile speculated with polynomial fitting method and the ultimate side resistance value determined by using the S-lgQ method are more consistent with the actual situation.
