  • Based on the 3D seismic exploration for the gob in Hongliulin coal mine, this paper used the forward modelling method for the seismic wave field of the gob caused by room and pillar mining, analyzed the seismic wave amplitude characteristics and the spectrum characteristics of different gobs and the effect of diffraction wave on seism in the gobs, identified the range of mined-out area, using RMS attribute. Drilling results proved that the seismic attribute interpretation for the gob could achieve good results.
