  • Aiming at the similarity of water quality of Cenozoic pore water and limestone karst fracture water of Carboniferous Taiyuan Formation, the paper put forward a method based on GIS and groundwater chemistry and temperature for quickly discriminating water-inrush source. The method used the fitting results of temperature and depth, built a model based on GIS for discriminating water inrush source by using water temperature, combined the discrimination results with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation based on water quality to identify water inrush source. The method was used to discriminate the water source of No.86-1 water-inrush in Panyi Mine. The results of application case showed that the method is suitable to discriminate water inrush source in areas where the discrimination effect is good by water quality and there is relative big ground temperature difference between aquifers (difference in buried depth).
