Multi-layer production evaluation of coalbed methane wells in Hancheng area

  • Coalbed methane reservoir is in low abundance and anisotropic. In order to improve the well productivity, some thin layers are usually developed together, which are adjacent to each other vertically and have the similar characteristics. The multi-layer CBM wells' production performance under the condition of interlayer differences has been studied using the reservoir parameters of seams No.3, 5, 11. Then the development effect has been evaluated according to the field data. The results show that multi-layer development is favorable for low-abundance coalbed methane wells. But there are three problems:the timing and sequence of multi-layer production, water flood backward and pulverized coal. Production measures should be regulated during production.
