Abstract
Non-mining disturbance-induced deformation and failure in shaft is a special mine geological hazard in mining areas with thick alluvium layer in East China.Additional stress induced by water loss and compression deformation in bottom aquifer is the major cause for the geological hazard. On the basis of summarizing the geological conditions and characteristics of deformation and failure induced by non-mining disturbance in shaft, the paper analyzes the amplitude and variation regularities of the additional stress in outer wall of shaft under action of different influencing factors through 3-D numerical modeling. On the basis of the modeling results and using elastic mechanics to solve the shaft with thick wall, the relationship between stress condition of deformation and failure and water head drop in bottom aquifer was established,it was indicated that the corresponding water head drop under limit state of deformation and failure in shaft was 89.5 m.
