Shale permeability testing system based on PPTS-1 pressure transmission

The problem of wellbore instability has been puzzling oil-gas exploration all the time, and to quantify the permeability of shale is an important index to estimate shale borehole instability. Based on LabVIEW platform, this paper puts forward PPTS-1 pressure transmission of shale system platform, which could obtain precious data of shale permeability by using core analysis and pressure transmission testing techniques. Experimental results showed that the platform is easy to operae with high testing precision, and favorable for the further research on wellbore stability.
