  • Frequency electromagnetic sounding is an electromagnetic method, there exists the problem of static effect. The paper, on the basis of previous studies, according to the concept and the characteristics of static effect, put forward that the boundary conditions of electromagnetic fields is used to directly describe its generating mechanism and characteristics, which can better explain the translational direction and amplitude of apparent resistivity in double logarithmic coordinates along the coordinate axis. According to the apparent resistivity curve translation in double logarithmic coordinates, it is pointed out that using related methods with slope invariance to correct static effect is effective, for example phase method. Finally, in order to better understand the static effect, some conceptual issues are illustrated.
