Sparse piles and soaking landing method for rectifying a tilted building

  • Aiming at a wet subsided loess site of a tilted residential building, measures have been designed and applied by using reinforced concrete underpinning piles and soaking correction. By using the original cushion of lime and soil (3:7),a composite foundation was formed by underpinning sparse piles (pile interval from 1.8 to3.9m)and lime cushion. The observational data show that the correction by reinforcement is feasible, technical and economic effect is obvious, providing experiences for future similar projects.
