The application of high density resistivity method in detecting unstable slope

  • Wenchuan earthquake has induced many unstable slopes, causing much risk. For removing risk and managing unstable slope, we use high density resistivity method to explore the architectural feature of unstable slope. It obtains good geology effect. By analyzing the actual measurement data, we find high density resistivity method has higher resolution in detecting incline and vertical inhomogeneity. It can determine location, shape, dimensions and burial depth accurately. 2-D high density resistivity inversion section chromatogram can reflect the scale, the developmental degree of longitudinal and transverse section, spatial shape. The abnormal shape and characters can reflect overburden thickness, basal layer boundary, water-riched zones, karsts cave and sliding surface. Even it can calculate the amount of fill dam. All of these provide the basis for rebuilding after the earthquake.
