Relationship between tectonic stress field and coal/gas outburst

Mostly, researches on control function of geological structure to coal and gas outburst were qualitative and statistical analysis. The paper applied the theory of tectonic stress field and the simulation experiment to analyze and study the relation between tectonic stress field and coal/gas outburst. In combination with actual case of relationship between coal/gas outburst and fold distribution, the authors studied the characteristics of stress distribution in different parts of fold and their control on coal/gas outburst, providing a new thinking for coal/gas outburst control.
