Analysis on the relation between resistivity and permeability of saturated rock during loading process

Abstract
Aiming at the evolution of resistivity and permeability during loading process in rock failure, it is shown that there is a close relationship between resistivity and permeability under saturated state. The mathematical expression of resistivity and permeability based on equations of Archie and Carman-Kozeny was obtained. The micro-mechanism evolution of resistivity and permeability can be described as follows:the expanding and interaction of micro-cracks lead change. The application of the related model is also discussed.
