Influence of gas explosion on permeability of coal body

  • The permeability of coal seams in China is very low, which can't use the conventional way of the production technology and pressure release development technology. The paper proposes a new technology through reliving pressure to increase permeability-gas explosion. The paper describes the experimental principles and process as well as permeability contrast before and after gas explosion. From analysis and study of 40 sets of experimental data, it can be known that under the close pressure, hardness factor f=0.5~0.9 and permeability k=0.001~0.005 D, the effect of gas explosion is stronger, the permeability of coal body increased ten times. At the same time, the depth of gas explosion hole, position and pressure of gas explosion are the important factors influencing permeability change. These regularities have provided support for the actual application of gas explosion technology.
