Numerical analysis of surface wave suppression and channel interval

  • Suppressing surface wave is a key procedure during seismic data processing, especially for the single-sensor and high-density acquisition, because no sensors are arrayed in the field. The F-K filtering and τ-p transform are two better methods to suppress noise of surface wave. And suppression results depend on the spatial sampling interval. Through the numerical simulation and analysis on the relationship between surface wave velocity, frequency, ray parameter and the interval of receivers, it can be found that smaller interval is, the better the effect while de-noising the surface wave. Moreover, alias will disturb the signals in case of large interval sampling. On the other hand, it can be deduced that fine spatial sampling is helpful to suppress surface wave in high density acquisition.
