Abstract
When a mine is abandoned, dewatering stops. The inflow from water floods roadways, mining crack fracture system, and then overflows the aquifer where the water had been drained when coal was mining. Thus the groundwater rebound was in abandoned mines.Quantitative analysis and study on flow characteristics during water flooding are important for forecast and prevention of secondary disasters caused by water rebound process.Numerical model for multimedia of groundwater rebound in abandoned mines was established, and relationship between recharge, water tables of abandoned mines and the resource aquifer was derived and their expression of function was also put forward.Based on the function the FEFLOW module had been developed for calculating the real-time recharge to mines. Finally the groundwater rebound process was simulated in a abandoned mine which was a horizontal seam mining, and the flow features and water table value of different media were obtained.
