Application of gray model to landslide deformation forecast in mining areas

  • Gray model possesses the advantage of making full use of “the little sample” and “the less data” to predict, which shows great advantage in analyzing and predicting a landslide. The paper sets up the GM(1, 1) model by drawing on data from monitoring the landslide in a mining area. This model, through comparing, verifying and analyzing the data, can illustrate that gray model can better reflect the deformation trend of the observed target to some degree. Then it shows that gray model has some advantage in predicting landslide deformation and can realize the previous expectation.
