  • Elastic impedance inversion preserves the characteristics that seismic reflection amplitude changes with offset or incidence angle. It can get more and more sensitive and effective data, which is not only used for strata inversion, but also for reservoir lithology inversion. The paper states the basic theory and realization flow of elastic impedance inversion, and analyses its features of application in CBM reservoir prediction through the inversion of practical data.
