  • A multi-hierarchy and multi-index comprehensive evaluation system of mining ecological health is established, and the health grade standard and the corresponding range of index are suggested as well. Based on matter element theory and the dependent function of extenics set, using analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of every evaluation index, the extenics evaluation model for mining ecological health is proposed. The model is applied to evaluate the ecosystem health of Datong mining area. It is obtained that the comprehensive correlation is -0.023 and health grade is III, belong to qualified level. The extenics evaluation method can distinguish the health grade of mining ecological health accurately and scientifically, provide the basis for formulating protection measures, so the method is practicable.
