Optimum design and application of balling-preventing bit

  • Bit-balling is a usual kind of drilling accident. Now technicians have no fundamental measure to solve this problem expect prevention. In this paper, the authors designed a kind of bit suitable to drill easy bit balling formation by using the method of hydrodynamics, the simulation software CFD. The result shows that simulation is an effective means to optimize the drill hydraulic structures and obtains significant economic benefits.
