Mechanism of uranyl ion adsorbing and complexing onto low-rank coal and ore-forming process of uranium associated coal measures

  • According to the ore-forming process of sand-type uranium ore associated coal measures,the adsorbing and complexing effects between low-rank coal of different oxidation degree and uranyl ion were studied by spectrophotometry in this paper.The results showed that the adsorbing effects were affected by many factors,such as coal oxidation degree,coal type,pH value of solution,environmental temperature and initial concentration of uranyl ion.The desorption experiment and FTIR analysis further demonstrated that the active functional groups in coal reacted with uranyl ions,and formed complexing and chemistry adsorption.Based on the above results,a new ore-forming process of sand-type uranium ore associated coal measures was proposed.
