Nonlocal friction analysis of prestressed cables

  • In this paper, based on Kelvin's solution of displacement, a solution of shear stress in the anchorage is derived. The nonlacol friction law proposed by Oden et al is used to analyze the prestressed cables. The integral form of shear stress is obtained and solved by programming Maple language. The nonlocal effect on the contact surface stress distribution is shown here and the solution of shear stress is given. The results are compared with those obtained by the nonlocal frication model and local frication model. The factors which affect the nonlocal friction effect are discussed. The results also show that nonlocal effect changes with rock hardness and nonlocal effect size.
