Abstract: The contaminated soil, the study of which is a new project in the research of geotechnical engineering,possibly causes the depreciation of foundation strength, thus leading to the instability or destruction of buildings. Therefore, to study the function, properties, estimation and disposal method becomes fairly crucial. Based on the present situation of study on contaminated soil, this paper is to introduce the properties, contamination mechanism, test, estimation and disposal way of contaminated soil.
