Abstract: Economic evaluation of coal-bed methane extraction project in coal mining area plays an important role for improving the investment strategy of the scientific level, reducing and avoiding investment risk, making investment benefit into full play. The current typical characteristics of CBM extraction projects were analyzed based on the full investigation, economic evaluation model and method suitable for coal mining area were established, evaluation index system of project financial feasibility was puts forward, evaluation software relative to the evaluation model and methods was developed, Using this model and software to the actual case of economic evaluation, the accuracy of model was primarily validated.
