Abstract:
Coal and gas outbursts accident happen frequently in China's mines, The end of fault is major risk place of coal and gas outburst accident. FLAC
3D software simulates stress distribution state at the end of fault. The results demonstrated that fault dip, fault nature, internal friction angel of fault, coal seam elastic modulus, coal seam poisson's ratio, boundary stress ratio are major factors affecting stress concentration at the end of fault. Fault friction angle and the boundary stress ratio are the most sensitive to the effects of stress and constitue the major controlling factors for stress concentration. Fault tip is larger factor effecting stress at the end of fault. The stress at the end of fault is maximum stress when fault tip is 45°. Using FLAC
3D software, stress concentration forecasts in the mining area near the fault have application value for prevention of coal and gas outburst accident and determining fault waterproof pillar width.
