Abstract: The development of Horizontal Directional Drilling has different technical ways at home and abroad.It includs R&D of drilling rigs, drilling tools and inclination, theory of drilling hole path, all show different characteristics. This paper clarifies the differences of HDD in coal mines between our country and other developed countries, as well as development direction of HDD in our country in the coming years.
