Abstract: The characteristics of geological environmental hazards,such as groundwater pollution,surface water pollutuion,ground subsidence and water inrush in adjacent mine,caused by abandoned mine,are systematically analyzed.It is illustrated that the interactive chains between abandoned mine and geoloical environmental hazards and the mechanisms of hazardous development caused by groundwater level rebound.The way of thinking how to control the environment hazards caused by abandoned mine is presented.
