Abstract: The desorption and diffusion of coalbed methane are the key inner-boundary conditions of coalbed methane reservoir.In this paper using mathematical method,the process of the desorption and diffusion was described,inferred the conception of coalbed methane desorption time and presented the graphics to determine the desorption time,would be very useful to recognize and determine that important parameter in coalbed methane exploration and development.
