Abstract: Based on the analysis of problems to apply discriminant analysis in coal geology and exploration, and according to probability theory and fuzzy theory this article present a new classification method-discriminant function fuzzy pattern recognitionmethod (DFFPRM).The method is product of comining mathematical stastics with fuzzy mathematics. Practic; have proved that the DFFPRM can overcome that there are still some problems in discriminant analysis.
