Abstract:
The trace fossil cf. Teichichnus rectu s, which could be seen infrequen tly in the Late Paleozoic strata of North China, was found for the first time in Xinmi coalfield of Henan Province. In this paper, the authors described the fea tures of its conservation and structure, tried to divide its trace types and coe noses, inferred its living things, which made traces, and discussed its developm ent mechanism. This discovery is very important for study of the storm deposits of the marine and the division and correlations of the strata.
