Abstract:
Based on geologic field exploration data and labor coal core measurement data the sulfur contents and distribution in coals as well as the relationship with the depositional environment in the northern section of Anluo exploration area,Guizhou Province are discussed. The results indicated that the coals in study area formed in a tide flat environment,as a result of seawater influence, the content of sulfur in coals is rather high.Meanwhile, due to different degree of seawater influence the content of sulfur in coal seams are different, and varied from one part to another part of same coal seam.In addition, the changes of sulfur content are related to palaeo-geographic environments of surrounding rock formations.
