Abstract: The distribution features of coal and water resources in northwestern five provinces are analyzed.In the east part every coal mining areas,located in loess plateau,are confronted with poor water resources and weak ecologic environment.In accordance with coal resource development,water resource utilization and environment protection in these areas,some proposes are provided.
