Abstract: By analyzing the application status at present for personal computer in the coalfield hydrogeology and in exploration department,the paper prospects the developmental direction in hydrogeology area of coalfield exploration for personal computer.It is also presented that the research and development on both compositive information managing system and GIS（geographical information system）for hydrogeology should be made later.
