Abstract: The rock mass of syenite porphyry in the north part of Babaoshan coal mine was demonstrated on its lithologic characters,geologic age and occurence.This rock mass was thought as a rock cap,under which existed prospect for search after coal.It is possible to conduct exploration and controlled drilling in underground roadway for search after coal and extending the service life on mine.
