Abstract:
The mercury content and its distribution pattern of the Permo-Carboniferous coal in some Weibei coal fields were analyzad using atomic fluorimetry and chemical analysis. The results show that the mercury content in coal in these areas is higher than the average content in the crust(0.08×10
-6) and the known mercury content in other coal and oil(0.001×10
-6~0.03×10
-6).The mercury in coal presents itself mainly as HgS,which is proportional to the inorganic sulfur content. The relationship between mercury and ash content in coal is demonstrated.
