Abstract:
In order to obtain reservoir connectivity and dominant flow direction of seam 3 and provide the gist for the designing and adjusting of the large-scale coalbed methane development program, the interference well test was implemented in Jincheng mining area. One well was selected as an active well and other five coalbed methane wells were set as observation wells, which formed the testing well group. And the testing result can be used to analyze the reservoir connectivity and the dominant flow direction. The result shows that well W-160 is connected with well W-156 and well W-166, and the reservoir connectivity between them is better than the connectivity between W-160 well with other observation wells. Therefore, east-north and west-south direction is the dominant flow direction of this coalbed methane reservoir. Comparing with production data, the correctness of the result can be validated. Thus, interference well test can be used to detect the reservoir connectivity and dominant flow direction of coalbed methane reservoir, which can direct large-scale coalbed methane development.
