Abstract:
In order to study CH
4 adsorbability and the influencing factors of coal in Huxiang coalfiel, the mercury-injection experiment and isothermal adsorption experiment have been performed on the collected coal samples, the adsobability and the influence of temperature, pressure, moisture, ash content on the adsorbabilty have been studied. The results of the experiments showed that
a . initially the adsorbing capacity increased linearly with the pressure(0~1.5 MPa), later (1.5~2.63 MPa) the increasing trend slowed down, when the pressure increased to 2.63 MPa, the adsorbing capacity was about half of saturation at 10 MPa tended to be saturated;
b . the adsorbing capacity was larger, Langmuir volume
VL was 18.30~29.96 cm
3/g; transitional pores were the most developed in coal samples, followed by micropores and macropores, mesopores were the least, therefore the adsorbing capacity of coal in Huxiang coalfield was relatively big;
c . the moisture had less influence on the adsobability, but the ash content had remarkable influence.
